Honestly this was such a relaxing and amazing experience! Such great energy and attention to detail! My skin was so smooth and soft and so was my hair! The “haircial”!was so much more than a rinse and wash there were so many steps of care a scalp health scan, the scalp stimulation so many high end products used also the steam treatment was so relaxing. I really didn’t want it to end. The owner truly cares and is so knowledgeable and was very kind. I was originally nervous because I have 4c curly natural hair but she means it when she says she works with every hair style.

I had an amazing experience at Mystic Cosmetology with their Spa Day experience! It included both a specialized hair and follicle treatment and a facial, and the entire experience was incredibly relaxing and unique. The hair treatment included multiple different brushes, a high-frequency brush, shampoo, conditioner, and an amazing scalp massage. The combination felt invigorating and refreshing, and my hair and scalp felt fantastic afterward. The facial was an experience in itself. It had so many thoughtful layers and sensory elements that it almost reminded me of a luxurious baklava, a layered experience of different treatments, scents, textures, and sensations. There were rosemary aromas, black cherry masks, witch hazel misting, aromatherapy, rose cream, exfoliation, and even a refreshing cold compress around the eyes. Every part felt carefully designed and incredibly relaxing. The full-body massage chair was the perfect addition to the experience. While my head and scalp were receiving an incredibly soothing treatment and massage, the chair was massaging the rest of my body. It made the whole experience feel completely immersive, relaxing, thorough, and wonderfully unhurried. I honestly loved every minute of it. The combination of the different treatments, amazing scents, relaxing massage, and all the little sensory details made the entire experience feel incredibly luxurious and thoughtfully put together. I left feeling refreshed, relaxed, invigorated, and genuinely pampered. This was so much more than a typical salon visit, it was a full experience, and I would absolutely recommend Mystic Cosmetology to anyone looking to treat themselves to something truly special!

Stop what you're doing and read this if you've been looking for some serious self-care. I've been wanting to try a Japanese head spa treatment for a long time now. As I'm getting older, I'm becoming more focused on scalp health and stimulating hair growth, especially since I've been bleaching my hair for eight or nine years. I've heard amazing things about Japanese head spas, so when Idania opened Mysticology in my suite building, I was beyond excited. The appointment began with a scalp analysis so I could see exactly what was going on with my scalp up close. Honestly, I haven't looked at a scalp under magnification since cosmetology school, so that alone was fascinating. I already knew mine wasn't going to be perfect. I have dandruff, product buildup, and years of vivid hair color, so I wasn't expecting a pristine scalp. Still, seeing everything up close was eye-opening and educational. Next came one of my favorite parts: the brushing. Idania spent a significant amount of time brushing my hair with different tools, and if you've ever had someone brush your hair for an extended period of time, you already know how incredibly relaxing that is. It's one of those simple things that instantly calms your nervous system. She also used an electronic scalp tool that felt unlike anything I've experienced before. It was stimulating, relaxing, and honestly just really cool to experience. As someone who geeks out over beauty technology, I loved getting to try it. Then we moved into something I wasn't expecting: a skin analysis. This was another blast from the past because I haven't had my skin analyzed like that since I was probably 23 or 24 years old. Back then, I got some not-so-great news about sun damage, and while I haven't been able to invest in all the corrective treatments I'd like, I have spent years being much more conscious about protecting my skin. Seeing the images was fascinating. Yes, I could still see the sun damage I knew was there, and I'm sure there's more hiding beneath the surface, but overall my skin looked significantly better than it did in my early twenties. That alone was reassuring and made me realize that all those years of being more mindful about sun protection have actually paid off. What I really appreciated was that Idania walked me through everything she was seeing so I could understand the analysis myself. The head spa itself was nothing less than heavenly. There were multiple shampoos, treatments, and products used throughout the service. I know there was a charcoal shampoo in there somewhere, and I'm sure a mask as well, but honestly, I got to a point where I stopped asking questions and just surrendered to the experience. I was filming content for her, but I also wanted to enjoy it for myself. The smells, the sensations, the warm water, the scalp work... it felt like she washed my hair forever, and I mean that in the absolute best way possible. Time completely disappeared.The treatment bed itself had a full-body massage feature, so while she was working on my scalp, I was simultaneously getting a massage. As if that wasn't enough, she applied a hair mask and placed a steaming dome over my head. And while my hair was steaming, she started my facial. I absolutely love holistic facials because they're such a different experience from traditional treatment-focused facials. They aren't necessarily centered around aggressive extractions or corrective procedures. They're about touch, intention, relaxation, and creating an experience for the nervous system as much as the skin. She also performed some electrotherapy on my face. I'll admit, that part was a little intense for me because I do have some congestion and oil buildup in my T-zone, but it wasn't painful or unbearable. If anything, it felt like it was actually doing something, and I appreciated that deeper level of cleansing. By the time everything was finished, I felt like warm butter melting into a stack of flapjacks. Completely relaxed…
